On February 29th, 2008, the Honorable Lawrence K. Karlton, Senior Judge of the US District Court for the Eastern District of California issues a ruling in favor of home downpayment assistance programs (DPA). As a result, HUD is stopped from implementing the Rule previously issued against DPAs permanently. As a result of this ruling, Home Downpayment Gift Foundation will continue to provide needed assistance and training to home buyers across the nation.
